Thunder, Patterson agree to buyout.

After yet another disappointing season for both parts, the OKC Thunder and Patrick Patterson have agreed to a buyout.

According to Bobby Marks, Patterson gave back $3.5M to the Thunder that will be stretched over three years which will result in a cap hit of about $737K for OKC. This move will also put OKC $698K under the luxury tax which removes the leverage for other teams as the Thunder won’t be in a rush to trade Chris Paul and it won’t force them to attach an asset to him either.
